I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, graduated
from Douglas College, Rutgers University in 1964 with a B.A. degree
in Sociology. I have been in Los Angeles since that time. I received
my teaching credential through UCLA and taught in South Central
Los Angeles for eight years. Committed to making a difference in
my teaching and need to be constantly challenged, my specialty was
motivating disadvantaged children to want to have the language,
reading, and math skills to better themselves.
I married in 1966 and we began to invest in real estate in 1970
by buying our first apartment building, an eight unit in the Palms
area. My husband was a student for most of my marriage and the financial
burden was primarily mine.
I built a brand new home in Beverly Hills in 1971, and continued
to buy investment property while teaching and raising my adopted
daughter until 1978 when I divorced.
I was not protected in the divorce settlement and was forced to
start over while continuing to be the sole support of my child. |

I became a licensed realtor in 1979 and received my MBA from Pepperdine
University in 1984. I began reinvesting in real estate with partners.
In the early 1990’s when real estate values began to plummet,
I left my real estate sales business to work fulltime in safeguarding
the real estate investments that had considerable deferred maintenance
and vacancies. Through my intense management, I was able to successfully
turn them around where they are all solvent. In 1996, I sold a large
piece. This enabled me to return to real estate sales. |
